Our Mission

 
 

Across the world, 600 million are affected and 400,000 die from food safety contamination issues each year. Detection technologies for bacteria, toxins, metal ions, and other food-borne harmful substances are inaccessible and monopolized by large corporations and government organizations – with a lack of investment in recent years. At the same time, food security has always been a global issue, with hunger and related effects of malnourishment worsening over the years due to demand-side challenges.

This leaves a gap between production and consumption, personal safety and societal standards, and inequitable access to healthy food. FoodHI employs an accessible three-in-one kit of App, Biosensors, and Community Engagement to integrate an intelligent solution to these food safety and security issues.

Previously known as the World Health Institute, FoodHI hopes to take these measures and our close collaboration with partners to create a future world where everyone has safe and healthy food to consume. We aim to ensure everyone is equipped with food safety and healthy eating technologies, and strive to empower other young food entrepreneurs to make a difference.
